The Velsen Mining Experience is more than a museum. Here, mining history comes alive. Machines move. Echoes sound through tunnels. You can feel the work of decades underground. In a place where mining has stopped, this is one of the few places where we can really see how our ancestors worked, cared, and lived together.

Since 2013, we are officially recognized as a non-profit by the Saarbrücken Tax Office. This means: Donations and sponsorship can be tax deductible. We will happily give you a donation receipt.
